About Me
I started taking photographs at just ten years old after pestering my parents for a camera. Although I didn't get what I wanted, (but what mum & dad thought was best) the little, manual-everything 35mm camera was the ideal choice as a photographic learning tool which grounded me well with the basics.
My early working life began in the photo processing industry and for a number of years provided a great opportunity to experiment with lots of film... at very little cost. This experience taught me more about the art of photography before launching into a successful career in information technology.
In 2001 I started using digital cameras and so converged my passion for photography with my computing experience in the "digital darkroom"... and I've never looked back! Today, my time is balanced between working as a database analyst for a Christian charity and professional photography, where all of my work is digital and focused mainly on weddings and commercial assignments.
